Our first CMI offline meeting this year will take place on September 30th 2022 between 10.00 and 17.00 at the Ernst-Reuter-Platz building. The topic of our meeting is "Prospects for the Social Market Economy Beyond Redistribution and Benefits". In the recent past the social market economy in Germany has suffered from the fact that its framework conditions have not been consistently developed. The aim of the meeting is to brainstorm which new avenues can be taken to appropriately deal with current challenges such as digitization, climate change and dealing with non-democratic regimes. For this purpose, members of the CMI are expected to present their past research in this field. The ultimate aim of the meeting is to lay the foundation for the preparation of a third-party research grant application on the stated topic. A detailed agenda will be sent out via e-mail to all members.
